2017 VTKW Sponsor Showcase: Union Bank & Trust

Thank you, Union Bank & Trust, for sponsoring VT KnowledgeWorks including the 2017 Global Partnership Event!

Union Bank & Trust

Innovation. Empowerment. Community.

As the largest community bank headquartered in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Union Bank & Trust brings innovation to the table with its products, services and, most importantly, talented teammates. Union’s teammates’ skills are diverse, and each is rooted in the communities they serve. They diligently work every day to empower individuals and businesses across the state, collaborating to find the best solutions and resources for their customers. They stand strong on helping local businesses move forward; giving resources to charitable organizations; empowering youth through financial literacy programs – and why? Because they never forget they owe their success to the communities they serve, and they are honored to be part of the New River and Roanoke Valley communities.

The VT KnowledgeWorks Global Partnership Event offers university students and faculty from all over the world a chance to collaborate, form partnerships, build their global networks, and congregate in Washington, D.C., and Roanoke-Blacksburg, Virginia, USA. The Global Partnership is an ongoing cooperative association of regions building permanent social and academic relationships with each other, for mutual long-term advantage. Members of the partnership gather annually during a week-long Global Partnership event hosted by VT KnowledgeWorks, Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, Virginia Tech, and citizens and businesses of the Roanoke-Blacksburg region.
2016 Winners: The grand prize of $25,000 was awarded to Park & Diamond, Inc., of Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia, USA. Read more about the winning teams! Read about the 2016 event outcomes and publicity.
