Full-time university student teams from anywhere in the world, outside of the U.S., have the chance to win up to $5,000 in travel expenses to attend and advance to the VT KnowledgeWorks Global Student Entrepreneurship Challenge and compete on a global stage for the $25,000 grand prize, August 17-26, 2017, in the U.S. Teams will compete virtually to win one spot in the August Challenge, as they showcase their entrepreneurial ideas and test their business concepts. Registration is free.

The Eighth Annual Global Partnership Event, August 17-26, 2017, offers university students and faculty from all over the world a chance to collaborate, form partnerships, and build their global networks. Members of the partnership gather annually for an event hosted by VT KnowledgeWorks, Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, Virginia Tech, and citizens and businesses of the Roanoke-Blacksburg region.

VT KnowledgeWorks offers 14 universities worldwide an opportunity to nominate a student team to compete and present their business concepts for a $25,000 grand prize at the Global Student Entrepreneurship Challenge. The Eighth Annual Event includes a two-day trip to Washington, D.C., August 17-19, as well as a week-long celebration of entrepreneurship in Roanoke-Blacksburg, Virginia, USA, August 19-26, for both Student and University Track attendees. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

VTCRC Blacksburg VAUSA Summer Work Experience

The Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center is offering free summer work space to any student team that participated in the 2016 Global Partnership Event. Beginning June through mid-August, alumni teams can enjoy open work space and wi-fi for free who are interested in continuing to work on their concepts and pursuing them as businesses in Blacksburg, Virginia, USA.
