Virginia Tech Team Registration Open – Win Up to $40,000

Virginia Tech students are invited to develop their entrepreneurship ideas, enhance their understanding of a successful business venture, and showcase their creativity at the ninth annual Global Entrepreneurship Challenge Semifinals.

Global Entrepreneurship Challenge Semifinals

Students compete to earn $15,000 in scholarships and eligibility for the VT KnowledgeWorks Global Student Entrepreneurship Challenge finals next August, where student teams from around the world compete for the $25,000 grand prize. All participants must be full-time students at Virginia Tech, and the average age of the team must be less than 28.

To enter, submit a 1-page summary of your business concept by February 10, 2017, at www.vtknowledgeworks.com. A panel of faculty and local entrepreneurial business leaders choose semifinalists to then submit a 3-5 page business concept document by March 3, 2017.

Finalists are chosen by a panel of local entrepreneurial business leaders and investors. VT KnowledgeWorks assists the finalists in the preparation of their presentations. Finalists present their business concepts at the Global Entrepreneurship Challenge Semifinals on April 12, 2017, at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center. The Global Entrepreneurship Challenge Semifinals contestant registration deadline is February 10, 2017.
