A new offering entitled “The Entrepreneurship Option” will be held on Tuesday, May 26, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at New River Community College’s New River Valley Mall site in Christiansburg.

This workshop will help participants understand what it takes to embark on the entrepreneurship path and is open to anyone considering starting their own business.

Jim Flowers, executive director of VT KnowledgeWorks, will conduct the workshop.  Through VT KnowledgeWorks, Flowers regularly conducts workshops and counsels new businesses.  In “The Entrepreneurship Option,” he’ll share his knowledge and experience on a variety of topics including things to consider before starting a business, common misconceptions about small businesses and fundamental characteristics shared by successful entrepreneurs.

Flowers will also offer individualized attention to answer questions and advise attendees of the session.

The cost will be $10.
