Plan now to attend the 2013 VT KnowledgeWorks Global Partnership Week, August 18-24, 2013 in the Blacksburg and Roanoke, Virginia areas.
The globally-minded can also attend the Virginia World Trade Conference: Cultivating International Partnerships: The Key to Growing Your Business Internationally which will be held October 17-19, 2012 at The Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center in Roanoke, Virginia.
From the organizers:
The event will kick-off with a welcome reception. We’ll bring attendees together through Ignite Speed Networking, a networking platform that infuses the energy and excitement of one-on-one speed networking with the effectiveness and comfort of small group conversation. The next day, featured speaker, Scott Wayne, Founder of The Frontier Project and former British diplomat, will guide participants through an interactive keynote on the “Art of International Influence”. Harnessing Frontier Project’s original photography, video and soundtracks, Scott will draw upon live case studies to coach and illustrate critical tools and techniques of influence.
Additionally, conference attendees will have the option of two conference tracks.
The first track will hear from Virginia exporters. Specifically, attendees will hear business perspectives on South America, Asia, Canada and the UK. Representatives from VEDP’s Global Network (Brazil, China, India, South Korea, UK and Canada) will also present regarding recent developments in their respective markets.
The second track will provide updates on import and export licensing and regulations, business expansion and port usage tax incentives, and Foreign Trade Zones.
As an added bonus, if you would like to meet one-on-one with our Global Network Representatives from Brazil, China, India, South Korea, United Kingdom and Canada, you will have the opportunity to do so between 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 17th, or 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 19th.
