Dear Friends of VT KnowledgeWorks,
We recently launched a donation campaign for the VT KnowledgeWorks Global Partnership Week, which offers 12 elite student teams and faculty from all over the world a chance to gather in the Roanoke-Blacksburg region. These global guests will join us August 19-25, 2012 to collaborate, form partnerships, celebrate entrepreneurship, and expand their global network.
We need the financial support of people like you to keep this globally significant event stationed and thriving in the Roanoke-Blacksburg region. The entire week is subsidized for visiting international students who participate in the Global Student Business Concept Challenge to compete for our $25,000 grand prize and trophy! VT KnowledgeWorks has to raise enough money for our international guests to enjoy complimentary meals, activities, and lodging throughout the week.
You can learn more about this campaign and make your donation online. As a small token of our appreciation, you will receive complimentary tickets to the Tastes and Sounds of the Valleys Reception at the Hotel Roanoke on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 to welcome our global guests to the region and enjoy food and music unique to our area.
To learn more about what our global guests will experience during their week-long stay in our region, please refer to our Event Agenda (.pdf).The visiting students will be staying with host families in Blacksburg, so if you cannot give financially but would like to serve as a host family, please contact us at [email protected].
Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you in advance for your support!
