International Shipping Workshop Offered by Virginia Economic Development Partnership

Encouraged by the excellent participation of area businesses in recent Export sessions, the Virginia Economic Development Partnership will offer "Export Inco Term and Documentation" on Thursday, March 29, 2012, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM, at the Mongtomery County Government Center in Christiansburg, Virginia.

Topics covered include:

  • Inco Terms
  • Schedule B and HTS Number
  • 2012 HTS Code Changes
  • Review AES Filing Process
  • Certificate of Origin ( NAFTA, Israel Green Form, CoO Declaration)
  • Shippers Letter of Instruction
  • Bills of Lading (Air Way, Ocean and Truck)
  • Customs Power of Attorney

Participants will learn how to complete international shipping documents and will have opportunities to ask questions.

The session will be limited to 25 participants with export documentation or shipping responsibilities, including (but not limited to) CEOs, CFOs, Office Managers, Export Managers, Shipping Managers/Supervisors, Logistics Managers and staff. We will not charge a fee, but do require pre-registration.
