VTIP to Host Seminar – Invention Disclosures: Opening the Door

From Virginia Tech Intellectual Properties, VTIP:

VTIP will host the seminar "Invention Disclosures: Opening the Door," on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Squires Student Center, Room 219 from 3:30 4:30 p.m., at Virginia Tech.

Tech transfer is an integral component of Virginia Tech’s mission. Submitting an invention disclosure is often the first point of contact a researcher has with VTIP. This experience is an invitation to the world of commercialization.  It opens the door for technology to move from the lab to benefiting the world.

Please join VTIP staff and VT research faculty for a discussion on the importance of submitting an invention disclosure, what it entails, and how a robust disclosure can help with both protecting ideas and bringing inventions to market. Pose questions to Steve Lockett and view upcoming VTIP discussions in its "Making Connections" series (.pdf).

“Making Connections” is VTIP’s forum for communicating about IP issues and sharing expertise. These activities keep VTIP connected to inventors and entrepreneurs, and build a network of resources to promote technology transfer and commercialization.

Squires Student Center is #180 on the Virgina Tech Main Campus Map (.pdf)
