VT$5K Winners Announced

On December 7, 2010, the Virginia Tech Entrepreneur Club held The Virginia Tech $5K - the VT$5K – an annual executive summary competition.  The best executive summaries were selected from the Energy, Medical, Nanotech, Software, and Social award areas.  The competition was open to any team with at least one student from Virginia Tech.

Over 100 people attended the first VT$5K awards.  Thanks to all of the angels who helped with judging and for offering mentoring to the teams.  Special thanks to Mark McNamee, Doug Juanarena, Nathan Latka and Jim Flowers for making the award presentations.    Several of these teams were developed during the course of the semester as part of Virginia Tech curriculum. 
 
The Virginia Tech Entrepreneur Club has demonstrated that there is a growing culture for entrepreneurship within the university community.
