Seminar on IP Issues for Start-Ups from Hutchison Law Group

From Ken Maready, Hutchison Law Group, a VT KnowledgeWorks sponsor:

On Wednesday, October 20, 2010, in conjunction with VT KnowledgeWorks, we will be talking about intellectual property (IP) issues faced by startups, including an overview of the four main types of startups, how to protect your IP, and some of the mistakes startups often make in the early stages of the business.  Devon White from our Raleigh, North Carolina office will join Helga Leftwich and me to  lead this installment of the HLG Launchpad series of startup talks.  Devon focues on IP issues and has particular expertise with regard to trademarks.
We'll be in the Lakeview Conference Room of the VT KnowledgeWorks building starting at 8:30am, with the talk formally beginning at 9am.

This is the second in a set of three talks in conjunction with VT KnowledgeWorks aimed at questions facing founders in the pre-startup and startup phases.  The final talk in the series will be "Strategic Planning for the Startup" and will take place on November 11, 2010.  Please see our flyer on the HLG Launchpad (TM) Series.

Please feel free to call or email me ahead of time with any questions, and to share this information with anyone you feel may be interested.

The HLG Launchpad (TM) series is open to anyone who would like to attend.
