A Business Model That Fits on a Kitchen Table

Below is pictured a graphical representation of a systems approach to modeling a company's resources and performance using mystrategy software from Strategy Dynamics, a company founded by Kim Warren of the London Business School.

I haven't used the software on my own business, but I'm watching it being used for a strategic management course at Radford Unversity.  The software transforms a company's financials and spreadsheets, sometimes difficult to interpret, into a strategic planning model.

As an idea-driven entrepreneur – well-schooled by my VT KnowledgeWorks advisors to keep careful track of my expenses using QuickBooks – I'm not trained to interpret financial statements.

I like the company's assertion that mystrategy can add "a new dimension to your thinking."

In the form of a cool model on my kitchen table, it just might.
