Schultz-Creehan’s micromachining capabilities received international recognition as a Modern Machine Shop Editor Pick.

In recognition of their advanced machining techniques and expertise, premier metalworking publication Modern Machine Shop has selected Schultz-Creehan’s micromachining capabilities as an MMS “Editor’s Pick”, highlighting their comprehensive machining cycle which includes both micro and full-scale machining. In an article titled “Micromachining:  Drilling is Doable”, Modern Machine Shop describes Schultz-Creehan’s enhanced precision and performance through the use of CNC drilling.  This drilling method provides greater hole-straightness and control, compressed machining through a single setup, and the use of a 4th-axis rotary table in the work zone.

In an accompanying video of 0.0200-inch holes being drilled into a stainless steel aerospace component, Schultz-Creehan demonstrates their ability to both design and manufacture miniature parts which are critical for industries such as aerospace, medical device, and industrial markets.   Here's the video above available full screen with a double click.

  1. Very cool video! It's amazing to watch the process of 0.0200-inch holes being drilled into a stainless steel item with such precision and without error – I have always wanted to see this process up-close and now I have. Thanks!
