I’ve written a business plan.
Jim Flowers, director of business acceleration center VT KnowledgeWorks, has designed a presentation on entrepreneurial principles using the mnemonic of a series of "M-words." Jim wrote for Inside VT KnowledgeWorks about "Moxie".
Jim sent me his series of PowerPoint slides and encouraged me to consider the M-word principles and address them in my business plan.
I studied the slides, googled "business plans," scanned a few sites, reviewed a book or two.
I thought of my husband’s wisdom: "You’ve got to start with what you want."
Sitting in an over-stuffed chair in my paper-strewn, paper-piled, teetering-book-stacked office, pillow in lap, cat on pillow, pad on edge of pillow, I wrote my business plan.
I started with what I wanted.
